(6/23/05) the HOMEMADE KNIVES - Industrial Parks CDep is now available for mailorder!
$5 ppd. 5 songs from new acoustic richmond va band. there is an mp3 at
www.triplestamp.com you should check out. just taking a listen is much
better than me trying to describe it. the CDs come in three color
handscreened chipboard jackets. it is a split release with triplestamp
records and it can be ordered through them as well. they do have paypal
which i know everyone loves. i gotta get that someday. the SINALOA -
Footprints on Floorboards LP will hopefully be ready for mailorder in two or
three weeks. maybe sooner. who knows? ok that should be everything for
now. more updates to come soon. oh, and the distro is totally empty. i
have about 10 copies of the WAYFARERS ALL comp LP and then its gone for
good. all other owsla releases are gone as well. the SHIVERING 10" is
still available from various distros and council records, but im out of
those as well. talk to you soon -

(06/09/05) ok. another long overdue update. owsla will have two new releases out
withen the next month if all goes well. everything has been shipped out for the SINALOA - Footprints on Floorboards LP. everything looks and sounds
amazing, full color jackets and all. this will be out in time for their
tour in july so you should check them out if they come to your town. owsla
records #7 will be a 5 song CDep for Homemade Knives, who are a new acoustic
band from richmond and have ex-members of marion delgado and wilderness
medicine. CD covers are all handscreened and stamped and look amazing.
this will be a split release with new richmond label triple stamp records.
www.triplestamp.com. so yeah. i dont do anything for a year and do two
releases at once. always works that way. so as far as other stuff - i think
i have 10 copies of the wayfarers all LP and then its gone for good. the
distro is totally empty and will stay that way. i dont know just what the
final price will be for the sinaloa LP but it will be a little more than
previous owsla releases. printed jackets are a bit more expensive than i
thought. that will all be posted when the record is available. i think
thats the news for now and will update this if anything comes up. thanks!
ryan/owsla
(03/09/05) long overdue update. the sinaloa LP is still coming out. exact date i'm not sure. in other news...i'm sitting on the last 100 or so copies of the Wayfarers All comp LP. please take these off my hands. if you run a distro the wholesale rate is $3 each(for 4 or more copies) and single copies will be $5 ppd. and if you are in a band on the record just ask me for more copies. umm. what else. oh, i have about 6 copies of the This is Your Life comp 2xLP on apemustnotkillape records. they will be $8 ppd. and i still have some copies of the How to Destroy Yourself 10" comp available. these are the last remaining copies of this record. oh, and a few copies of the raein/daitro split 10".(i hope i spelled those names correctly. i dont have the records with me to look). anyway. the comp 10" and the split 10" are $7 ppd. you must email me to reserve copies of these records. i dont have many. thats it for now. please get in touch and help me find new homes for these records. talk to you soon.

(11/09/04) i am pround to say that in early 2005 owsla will be releasing a new full length LP for SINALOA from mass. i cant say enough about this band as a whole or as individuals. i feel weve formed a great friendship over the past couple of years and im really excited to do a record with them. so yeah, just wanted to let you know and ill keep you updated as this progresses. thanks!
ryan/owsla
(10/25/04) OWSLA RECORDS SHIRTS [picture of shirt]. denim blue w/ black ink and khaki w/ red ink in S/M/L - all shirts $6 ppd.
ryan/owsla
(7/19/04) ok. so i lied. owsla records is not done. i thought i didnt wanna do it anymore, but i really cant stop yet. the distro is gonna remain very small. no trades anymore really. i just want to keep it related to bands ive done/will do releases for. sorry. so for the future? i'm building up as much money as possible now for a couple of things that will hopefully be out around christmas. maybe a little later. these are still tentative, but very likely:
liza kate/the nine billion names of god - split LP (split release with moganono records)
wilderness medicine - LP (or maybe 45 rpm 12" or something). dave and i are working on more new songs right now and when paul gets back from scotland it should really start moving. hopefully...
so those are the plans for now. keep checking back for more updates and record releases. thanks. oh, and go see life at these speeds and sinaloa on their upcoming tours. life at these speeds/stop it!!/sinaloa/wilderness medicine will be on a 3 or 4 day tour thing together early september. should be a blast. bye.

(5/17/2004) the life at these speeds LP is all done. paul and i finished the covers this morning. screenprinting takes forever! it was worth it though because they look amazing! the distro is almost gone now and the wayfarers all comp is going pretty fast too. no plans for represses. no plans for anything really. owsla records is done for. at least for a long while. maybe i'll start to miss it, but not too soon. i need a break. thanks eveyone for all the support and thanks to all the bands i got to work with. i made a bunch of friends with this and hope to keep in touch with everyone. i'll still continue to update this with any news so feel free to check back whenever. ok.
ryan/owsla
(03/30/04) ok. the LIFE AT THESE SPEEDS LP should be done really soon. we are expecting test presses in a few days. we've started the screenprinting and it's moving along. hopefully the huge broad street fire didn't destroy them. i'll find out today. ummm. nothing new planned. may be actually taking a break from record releasing for a while. too much going on in my life. but not done for good. just a break. the comp is going really fast...so if you plan on ordering, do it soon! wilderness medicine is taking a break from shows, not that we play that many anyway, to write a bunch of new songs and hopefully record sometime in the near future. we will have a song on the THIS IS YOUR LIFE comp LP from ape must not kill ape records. that's it. oh, we only have a few demos left and maybe a couple of shirts, if you carethanks...
ryan/owsla
[BTW, the site isn't done yet...i'm still tweaking some things out...if the site looks weird, please set your rez to 1042x768...thanks! - jeff]
